How We Started
So yeah, it all started when Elena and Marcus were stuck on a chairlift during a pretty gnarly storm back in 2016. They'd been working crazy hours in Vancouver's hospitality scene for years, and somewhere between freezing their butts off and watching the snow swirl around the peaks, they had this wild idea.
What if there was a place where you didn't have to choose between adventure and relaxation? Where the mountain crowd could actually unwind without sacrificing that alpine vibe? Most places were either full-on party lodges or stuffy resorts that felt like your grandparents' country club.
The Vision Takes Shape
Elena, who'd basically grown up in her family's wellness center in Victoria, wanted to bring that healing energy to the mountains. Marcus, a former ski instructor turned sommelier, was obsessed with creating spaces where people could really connect. Together, they spent two years hunting for the perfect spot.
When they found this property on Whistler Village Boulevard, it was honestly kind of a mess. Old lodge that hadn't been updated since the '90s, creaky floors, that weird musty smell. But the bones were solid, and the location? Unbeatable. They could see guests walking to the village, hitting the slopes, then coming back to decompress in a proper spa.
Opening Our Doors
Twenty-three rooms, a small spa, and a dining room that seated forty. We were terrified and excited in equal measure.
Expansion & Evolution
Added the wellness wing, upgraded to thirty-eight suites, and launched our adventure concierge service that people now rave about.
Sustainability Commitment
Achieved carbon-neutral operations and partnered with local conservation groups. It's not perfect, but we're getting there.
Today, we've got an incredible team of forty-seven people who genuinely care about this place. Our head chef Jake sources from farms within 100km. Our spa director Amara trained in Bali and brings this whole different energy to mountain wellness. And yeah, Elena still personally tests every new treatment before we add it to the menu.
What Drives Us
We're not trying to be the biggest or flashiest spot in Whistler. We just wanna create a place where you can be yourself, whether that's crushing black diamonds all day or spending six hours in a bathrobe. No judgment, just good vibes and mountain air.
